Scrapbooking as much as possible, but sometimes getting distracted by birthdays and life!

Ruth - 20 Sleigh

I thought I’d do something different and just show you my card and then tell you about it!

I stamped the sleigh in puddles of Smooch Spritz (Cherry Ice and Silver Fox) on my craft mat. I love how the main part of the sleigh turned out with this technique. It worked well with the style of stamp with lots of interesting details (the stamp is from the Close to My Heart Holiday Magic set – which was the October 2012 Stamp of the Month.)

I distressed the edges with Tea Dye Distress Ink and matted that image on a piece of Pearlized cardstock from The Paper Studio and then adhered that to the card base with the Echo Park ’tis the Season patterned paper on it. Three Doodlebug Design sequins finish off the front.

Thanks for visiting! Did you create any projects for Christmas in July! I’d love to hear about them!

Have a great day!

I’m entering the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge blog Anything Goes challenge.

  1. Love the card. .that technique is fun!

  2. Love your water-coloring. The pink and grey colors are so lovely together in this unconventional Christmas color combo! So glad that you join the fun over Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!
