Scrapbooking as much as possible, but sometimes getting distracted by birthdays and life!

Thank you for the inspiration!

Yep! I was in love and then I was inspired and then I got to playing!

I found out about this wonderful event for Jenn Shurkus:

It’s awesome that she’s been blogging for 10 years! I can’t wait until I get there (and I’ve got a ways to go!)

So, I’ve had a few of her projects on my inspiration list and then I saw this card:

And I knew it was the one for me!!!

So, I got to looking around, found a die cut from Echo Park in the Silhouette Online Store that I thought would work for what I hoped to do and got cutting, then painting, then piecing and then putting it all together!

At this point I’m thinking “it’s a good thing I like putting puzzles together!”

The middle of the flower had lots of tiny dots as part of the die cut, which were going to be very difficult to work with at this scale, so when I was working on the background I painted some dots in the middle and started to put the puzzle together around it. It was honestly fun!

My finished card. I’m so glad I gave this a try and want to thank Jen so much for the inspiration! I probably would have tried this at some point, but having a deadline inspired me to go for it!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! There’s a little bit of time left to enter, so check out Jenn’s blog and hopefully I’ll see your project there before the gallery closes!

Happy crafting!
