Scrapbooking as much as possible, but sometimes getting distracted by birthdays and life!

Yep, it’s another gift card holder!

Don’t say I didn’t warn you! And there will be more in the coming days, so be prepared!

I have to say I had tons of fun creating these gift card holders. From choosing who got which design to picking papers and finishes, I love that I am able to create something to hold the gifts our family gives!

This was for my father in law who loves to ski and also loves to shop at Kohl’s. The snowflake sweater gift card box design is by Kristen Magee. I have to admit putting this little box together was so much fun. What can I say? Miniature things delight me!

A snowflake die cut is included, but I chose to use my Snowflake Medley stamps and dies from Papertrey Ink to create the snowflake instead. The patterned paper is from the Fancy Pants Timber Grove collection (loved that pattern for a touch of Christmas color as well as a fabric design), kraft paper from The Paper Studio (which is rather rough for many uses, but worked perfectly for my little box), velvet paper from SEI for the collar and Versamark ink with embossing powder from Stampendous.

My tip for those who are like me and don’t like the dashed lines where folds are is to change those lines into solid lines and cut them at a much lower thickness (like 1 or 2) in Silhouette Studio V3. You can do this under Advanced settings in V3. If you don’t use V3, you’re missing out on a lot of really cool tools (and some headaches, but for me, the trade-off is worth it.)

I hope you have a wonderful winter’s day! Today, our high is supposed to be 19 degrees Fahrenheit, so I’m hoping to stay in and get lots of laundry and crafting done!

I’m entering this into the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog Anything Goes challenge.

Thanks so much for visiting! Please let me know if you have any questions or comments! I love to hear from you!
